Job Introduction
The link between The Franchise Owner and Subway. Your primary focus is to analyse, audit and support the Owner by protecting the Brand and making their business more profitable. Analysis of data of a pre-assigned patch & area ensuring all company goals are pushed above target and new tools learnt & implemented.
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities & Duties of Business Consultants are subject to variance and/or change as deemed necessary by the company to promote the continued growth of the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilises knowledge to promote the culture, values and mission of Resso Limited with integrity and honesty. Enforces high standards of operation in food quality and service, speed of service, hospitality, cleanliness & profitability
- To communicate and introduce new company objectives and initiatives
Time Planning & Communication
- Shows personal organisation in paperwork and record keeping
- Thorough and accurate completion of monthly Restaurant Evaluations
- You will schedule yourself in a productive manner of your evaluations
- Promptly and effectively communicates using voicemail, E mail and the Outlook calendar
- Completes all tasks by the required deadline as assigned by the Senior Business Consultant
- Effectively, frequently and responsively communicates with franchisees. You must respond to any emails or phone calls from franchisees within 24 hours unless on scheduled holiday in which case you will implement an automatic response within your email address And ensure your franchisees are both aware and covered.
- You must respond to any emails or phone calls from the DA office within 24 hours unless on scheduled holiday.
Franchisee Development
- Challenges and inspires franchisees to achieve business results by optimising sales and profitability
- Provides coaching and direction to franchisees to take action to achieve operational goals
- Provides corrective feedback promptly to improve performance of franchisees
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with franchisees
- Assists franchisees with the development and implementation of business plans to help grow their business
- Demonstrates skills for the investigation and identification of sales misrepresentation
- Assists the franchisee in the enforcement of the compliance standards in accordance with the Subway® Franchisee Agreement

Required Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of management practices and procedures
- Knowledge of retail and/or restaurant industry operations.
- Demonstrates team building & interpersonal skills.

- Ability to develop, and maintain effective working relationships with partners at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information.

- Flexibility with schedule
- Food Retail experience essential
- Efficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint & Google Gmail & GDrive
- A set number of morning, afternoon, evening (after 5pm) and minimum one Saturday and Sunday evaluations per month must be completed. Evaluations cannot be performed less than 10 days after the previous one, nor on the same time of day or week as the previous month.
- Time spent in store must be an absolute minimum of 2.5 hours and Evals must be transmitted within 24 hours.
- During evaluations; training, coaching and assistance should be offered for any issue that is raised. You should do everything within your means to help them rectify a problem.
- All training and coaching should be recorded in the evaluation in detail.
- Paperwork, including but not limited to expanded WISR, Control sheet, Subcard, UofS, usage adjustments must be reviewed on every visit and any anomalies must be recorded.
- You will monitor a set number of stores (Referred to as your patch) every month and assist them in tasks outside of the evaluations including but not limited to operational questions, marketing material assistance, customer comments, Live IQ analysis and wisr transmissions.
