Job Introduction

Store Manager to support the management team in the below categories:

· Being the first point of contact for all store related issues including your team, customers and Subway Head Office at any time of the day

· Being in charge of all staff recruitment /induction and training/development of employees in line with the Subway® brand’s training requirements – You will lead by example!

· Creating and managing the staff schedule, ensuring the best team is in the store at the right times of the day.

· Making sure all staff schedules and food costs are running in weekly % budget.

· Manage any disciplinary issue’s that may need addressing.

· Making sure the store is looking the best it can look inside and out. Always looking at the store from the customer’s eye. Checks done each morning and afternoon, starting with the outside of the store (especially litter).

· Making sure all staff are always well presented in full smart uniform, hair tired and name badges on.

· Checking in deliveries and order matching.

· Prepare required paperwork in relation to stock and sales.

· Ensuring 100% compliance in accordance to Subway® guidelines.

· Perform inventory management and stock control including weekly stock take and reports.

· Analyse the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to improve the business.

· Direct and undertake housekeeping activities such as maintaining store cleanliness and presentation.

· Implement in store marketing material and POP in line with campaigns, ensuring the POS is updated on time.

· Ensure safety procedures are followed to prevent injury.

Provide a safe work environment for employees and customers

· Promote and ensure your team provides the highest level of customer service.

· Handle and respond to all customer complaints, trying your best to handle and put right complaints before they are escalated to head office.

· Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales, inquiries, and catering for customer needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Recruitment /induction and training/development of employees in line with the Subway® brand’s training requirements – you will lead by example!
  • Creating and managing the staff schedule
  • Checking in deliveries, order matching and daily banking
  • Prepare required paperwork in relation to stock and sales. Prepare employee pay and timesheets
  • Manage cash balances and minimise wastage
  • Ensure 100% compliance in accordance to Subway® and council guidelines
  • Perform inventory management and stock control including weekly stock take and reports
  • Analyse the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to improve the business
  • Direct and undertake housekeeping activities such as maintaining store cleanliness and presentation
  • Implement in store marketing material and POP in line with campaigns
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed to prevent injury
  • Provide a safe work environment for employees and customers
  • Promote and encourage a high level of customer service amongst employees
  • Handle unresolved and/or escalated customer complaints
  • Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales, inquiries and catering for customer needs.

The Ideal Candidate

You may currently be working as a Catering Manager, Store Manager or Restaurant Manager – or maybe you’re an experienced Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager looking to progress your career.
